Prep day...................

I finally sewed the three Aboriginal fabric blocks together and chose a backing and cut batting for it.  This will be a table runner.

This little piece is about 12" square.  Batting and backing were cut for it too.  This will be a small table mat.

The binding is cut for this quilt now.

Since this quilt is small I decided to hand stitch the binding.  I have one side completed.  The back and binding are both batik but they are easy to stitch through.

We had a warm Sunday, around 60 degrees.  Now we will be in the 50s for the rest of the week.  Rain is a maybe for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Prep days can be time consuming especially cutting but so worth it

I really like the busy-neutral background for the aboriginal blocks.

Isn't it a joy to go from one project to the next as the fabrics and colors stir your imagination?! What delight each of these pictured little quilts will add to lives in their futures! Love the Aussie fabrics and those blues and greens. Yum!
Our forecast is for rain Tu, Wed, and Th. Hope at least some of it comes here.

Hugs!

The Aboriginal table mat is so pretty as well as the stripey one. I love the colors in the 16 patch quilt. I see finish number 3 for October happening soon!

Prepping projects is not my favoite part but necessary, of course. Our weather has cooled and another front is expected during the day tomorrow. It's supposed to be very windy, but dry.

Enjoyed another post today ~ your ‘mini’s’ makes such big statements especially with all of your signature fabrics.

we had just under 2 inches of rain this weekend and maybe more on Tuesday - then I'm ready for the sun again. It can be enjoyable to do binding while you sit and watch tv,

The first thought that popped into my head when reading this”Prep Day” is you're having a colonoscopy 🤣🤣. How did your pacemaker check up go?
