This quilt dates back to 2017 but it's going to be finished now. I trimmed it yesterday and chose the dark blue at the bottom for its binding.
I also trimmed this one and chose the Folk Art Kaffe print for the binding. I made the center of this quilt top in 2011 but didn't get the final border on it until 2022.
This one became my sewing project for last night. There is mostly the orange with roses on the back with a narrower strip of the other fabric.
My purple Rosy blocks are on the wall in my main floor studio and I didn't want to go down to the basement for photography last night so you will probably see the full quilt tomorrow.
About a week ago I potted some Christmas/Thanksgiving cactus plants. When I buy a new one and it is in a large pot, it is usually about 7 or more little plants in the pot. I divided up the white one into 7 pots. My daughter-in-law got 2 of the small ones yesterday. She didn't have room for another large one. I know my grandson's new wife will probably take one or maybe 2 of these so I still have a couple to share with friends.
This was the amount of tomatoes I brought in before the freeze. I will toss some of the tiny ones after I go through them. I just cut little branches with anywhere from one to 4 tomatoes on them and I will only save the ones golf ball size or larger.

WOW--lots of nice tomatoes to ripen!! You got a lot of plants for "one";))) that is always so nice to do...
42 here this morning early on--
I love that orange fabric with roses backing; I once had that KF folksy print in the blue. You are on a finishing spree--sometimes they just seem to go together so well...;)))

Love your stars! You'll be enjoying those tomatoes, I'm sure!
You had a huge tomato crop. We received 1.71 inches of much appreciated rain last night!
Hooray for finishing steps on both of those long-waiting quilts. I bet those tomatoes are glad you protected them from the heavy frost.
Those are two beautiful quilts that have been waiting for their turn to be completed! I really love the blue/green one with the lovely star as those are my colors.
My mother used to have Christmas cacti when I was a child.
Before daybreak, our temperature was 33*F - brrrrr - and we may have rain mid-week.
Hugs!
Beautiful projects as always, Wanda. That blue one....oooooh so nice! And you know I love those folk art Kaffes...looks great as binding! I've frozen all my large (ripe) tomatoes, whole. When I go to make chili or spaghetti sauce, I put them in the pot as is. Read this process somewhere and it works for me! You certainly have plenty of the smaller ones, great for salads.
I’m looking forward to seeing these two quilts in full. I can’t remember what they looked like from so long ago. I was surprised to read how many years they have been waiting to be finished.
What great tomato harvest you had…
Oh, look at you finishing the 2017 quilt AND the gorgeous star one from 2022. I love the folk art KF fabric for the binding for that one. That a lot of tomatoes…..do you think you will beat last years Dec 4th’s last tomato?
That blue quilt is a knock-out.

how do you store your almost finished quilts that you put aside for such a long time? I have some squares and pile up on a table that is kind of hidden out of the way so they stay flat and to be quilted get kind of rolled up and sit on top of each in a box on the top shelf in back of the quilt room door. Both of the ones you show look really pretty.
Both of those quilts are so pretty! Two more finishes very soon! It is wonderful how you share the plants with so many!
