I don't have anywhere outside to put my Thanksgiving/Christmas cacti in the summer that the squirrels don't bother them. When I have windows open in nice weather I put some of them on the sill to enjoy the sun and fresh air. This is an east window, facing out the front of my house.
The west window has a few too. The one on the right is pretty sad looking and I re-potted it hoping to bring it back to life.
Here are some of my larger cacti where they reside year round. I have more plants on a cabinet by my front picture window. I haven't counted lately but I think I have at least 20 plants, maybe more. This assures me of blooms most of the late fall/winter/early spring. Sometimes there is a spell of no blooms like there was last winter.
I always have a slow start to the month with more thinking and planning than doing, so knitting is the only fiber related thing to show. This dishcloth is a little smaller than some I made since I was trying to judge when to start the decrease rows and not run out of yarn. It looks like I could have gone one more row.
I started a new dishcloth using ends of 3 balls before adding the dusty rose yarn to finish it.
I think I'll do some cutting today so I can start sewing again.

That is a nice collection of Thanksgiving/Christmas cactus! I had no idea squirrels liked them. Looks like they like it inside with you.
Christmas cactus's are always so pretty,I never could get the hang of knitting but am trying to re-enter the world of crocheting
It must be like judging the last bit of thread on the top spool and wondering if it will be enough for one more pass with the longarm, lol.
You have a lovely Cactus collection, Wanda; I gave my Granddaughter one of my four to take with her to her new apartment in Jersey City as she has quite an indoor plant collection--and gives me an excuse to get another ;)))
52 here at 6 am, up to 72 now at 10:00!! But nice low humidity...
More re-folding on tap for me but also some pre-cutting...
Hugs, Julierose
Indoor garden -- my amaryllis bulb has been on the side chest in the dining room and it sprouted!
Your many indoor plants are clearly happy where they are and being cared for by you! We stopped having many indoor plants when we had cats who like to dig them up and play with them. Also, we have so many trees, shrubs, and flowers that we need little else!
I look forward to seeing what plans you've thought up as you've made the potholders!
Hugs!
The plants look healthy and happy! I have a couple Norfolk Island pines and they are getting big.
your cacti do good in the house. I am glad that I have a good spot on the porch and that squirrels do not come up here in the summer - occasionally I will see one in the winter - maybe in the summer it is that they know we are in and out a lot? I am not sure but I think I have 8 Christmas cactus now with at least 3 or 4 being small.
That is a lot of cacti - no wonder you can show us so many blooms! My two are doing well indoors - it gets too hot for them outside in the summertime.
