A few more orphan blocks

I still had the remainder of pieces left from another quilt laying on my sewing cabinet so I decided to make as many more blocks as I could.  I will throw the last few pieces into my scrap bag.
Here are all 8 blocks together.  As soon as I get them pressed they will go into the box with all of the rest of the batik orphan blocks.

We have had several days of 90s now with Chicago breaking the old records with many of them.  One more hot day and then the cool off comes.

Trying to stay cool, too. We had a columnar oak planted last week where the pine was taken down. Fall is supposed to be great to plant a tree. I have been soaking the tree to keep it from frying, but I am still concerned.

I found some orphan blocks and made three quilts for charity out of them. I have the border to put on some and hopefully I'll have several for Project Linus. It's been hot here too and very dry.

I love the colors! That deep red orange with that green is so vibrant! Along with the heat in the 90's we have had no rain for weeks.

The colors in this quilt are so pretty for fall . . . I love your work and your fabric choices. Beautiful!

As always, your color sense amazes me. Not to mention being such a trooper after your pacemaker. Soon, you will be back to normal!

Love those rusty colors with brown so warm and rich. And the punch of that awesome green is the perfect sparkle. I hope they don't stay in your 'orphan box' too long . They are gorgeous
