What's blooming......and growing..........

I am past the half way point of basting my wallhanging and I worked on the preemie layettes yesterday.  The rest of the day was spent on errands and weed pulling.  My Stella De Oro lilies are just starting to bloom and there are lots of buds.  There are 3 plants there.  I had a helper digging with me last year and she dug up part of the middle plant  when I wasn't watching her.
This is one of the hostas I split earlier this spring.  It is huge again, about 40" across.

These are the other 2 I split and the one on the left is about 40" across too.

The Red Penstemon are blooming with perennial geranium in the background.  The leaves on the one in the back garden are green.  It is in the shade all of the time where this one gets the east sun in the morning.

I can't ever remember the name of this ground cover but it is doing really well this year.  I cut all of the volunteer Redbud trees that were growing in there.

Is the ground cover Lamium? I had some of that in my garden and loved it, but it didn't come back a few years ago. Your Bouncing Balls quilt is great! I just love all of the plaids and stripes.

Good morning Wanda......I have the same type of ground cover and it is of the Lamium family as Ramona said. The one I have is White Nancy like yours, but you also seem to have a lilac colored flower in there as well. It makes such a pretty carpet and I love it. The last few days have really been perfect and hope this weather sticks around for awhile, as I don't like it when the temp goes past 85. Enjoy your day.

I love your plants, especially your ground cover. I am going to a gardening center today and will look for some.

My mother used to call that one Snow on the Mountain and I have also heard GoutWeed.

You have a beautiful garden Wanda. Like the bouncing balls also.

Lamium is correct for the plant. It isn't snow on the mountain or goutweed...those are names for aegopodium.

Always a good show from Lamium, I used to have the white flowered variety and it was a super ground cover. Love the day lillies, there are lots in my garden but sadly have problem with virus and fungus and it may be that they will have to be removed!

Love seeing shots of your garden. I think your ground cover is White Nancy, as others have said.
