More scrap fun.............

It was a beautiful day to mow the lawn with a nice cool breeze and below normal temperature.  I didn't get to the sewing machine until 10 p.m. while I watched the news and weather.  I added one more section onto the piece I showed yesterday and made a couple more blocks.  This is all scraps which are fairly straight but not perfectly straight.
I still had them packaged by approximate lengths from 2012.  See this post when I was sorting them.  I think I used those block for mug rugs.  I'm thinking about making a table runner this time.

I love all these fabrics together. So colorful! Though I have followed here for a long time, drooling over your work, I rarely comment, though I vow that will change. Thank you for continuing to blog. Kathy Shaw...a crazy quilter I know has offered a on line class in traditional quilting so I am on my quilt block building journey. I already see the value of saving left over cuts in bags for scrap quilt use. Not sure if I am going to make traditional quilts, but I KNOW I will make scrappy ones!! In BOLD color prints.

love your fabrics. I do not have any of his fabrics for some reason! I really must get a bundle of this times I see a sale going on. So glad some of you are enjoying a few days of cooler weather - the weatherman did say we are to have lower humidity though so I will certainly enjoy that even though we will be in the high 80's to low 90's once again - really we do get used to that as it will be like that all summer -

The scraps look fabulous together! You are so organized! My scraps are just tossed into bins willy nilly.

I was an economics/accounting major in college and that sometimes doesn't translate well to hobbies where supplies sit on a shelf not being used! Anyway, I just wanted to say how much I've been able to give myself permission to keep fabrics until I have much more variety but also to let go of that "I want the scraps out of here" mentality I used to have since I started reading your blog - I now save a trashcan full of scraps (allowing it to grow in variety) and either use them or cut them down into sizes. I really enjoy your process and the patience you have explaining it to us newbies. Your energy and creativity is so inspiring. Enjoy your day, Wanda.

Love the scrap blocks. They are like music to me. The bags of cut fabric are more scrumptious than candy! Love what you are doing with them.

It is so much fun to watch you pull out bits and pieces from previous work and see how well they all play together --- you have a fabulous stash and you use it SO well (yardage AND scraps).

I love to see your sorting/storing things. I struggle with storage and finding things.
