Bento Box top done!!

This will be the last time you see this top until I quilt it.  It would have been so easy to just add it to the pile that needs borders, but I stuck with it for a change and got it sewn on right away.  It is too big for the 2 design walls so it's a partial photo.
The border print is really a fairly bright green but with red in the print it doesn't photograph as bright.  Once again it is prettier in real life.

I got in the habit of walking by going to the fair 4 days in a row because it is a pretty good walk from the parking area to get into the fairgrounds and then a lot of walking while there.  I decided to walk downtown and mail my letters yesterday, pay my water bill at city hall and then walk over to the quilt shop and back home.  I'll have to drive it to see how far it was.  I think it is a little more than a mile and a half.  Now if I could just keep it up I might drop a couple pounds.

Love the finish!! Don't you just love days like that when you can just walk and walk?

Excellent idea Wanda. A co-worker and I walk about that far every morning. It has helped us both with getting our bodies in shape. We have both lost a few pounds, but my co-worker - a female- has really shaped up. I saw a picture from a couple of years ago and said WOW, what a difference.

Love it! So great with all of the colors and how they flow in this particular pattern.

love the quilt. Walking is great for you and a little is better than nothing. I wish I had an area out here in the country that I could walk easily at every day instead of driving someplace first for a walk.

It really does look wonderful and I love how you stuck to it until it was finished. I tend to get to the borders as well.

Wanda, I love how this quilt came together. I also walked to the post office last week, I had a giveaway to mail. You're right I should keep walking too. Fall has always been my favorite time of year.

That one glows. It's beautiful!!
This is such a great time of year for walks. Not too hot, not too cold. I love going for a walk first thing in the morning before there's too much traffic.

Very pretty! That one seemed to come together quickly.

I love that idea ! The walking, I mean !
I've been wanting to poke around downtown, but my gas gauge seems to go down visually with every FOOT I drive,........I think I'll follow your lead and walk down there soon.

Here's to your health !

Super Bento Box! I love how it turned out. Walking is good exercise and at this time of year the weather is purfect for it too.

Your Bento Box is just lovely. This one is another of my individual patterns sitting in a box, silently calling "pick me, pick me" every time I walk by.
Nothing is better than a stunning quilt like this to make me actually try one some day. You're always an inspiration, Wanda.

Bento Box quilts always look so good. I recognize that border fabric as I have some too. It's much happier in real life.

I usually read your blog in RSS Feed form. This time I came to teh blog itself and see that you've changed your header -- I love that quilt! BTW, I took it to my beginning quilt class to show how use of different colors and fabrics can change the mood of one's quilt and how even though I suggest using small medium and large prints when choosing fabrics for a project, there are times when all large prints look great. Everyone positively drooled over your quilt. :-)
