My mind yesterday was busy with new project ideas and thoughts of what I should be finishing but all I accomplished was a little more stitching on the diamond quilt. I have about 2 1/4 sides finished now.
I was looking at the dies for my tiniest bow tie blocks. This one is the little corners that sew onto the pieces in the next photo.
There are 4 pieces on the die on the left. After I took this photo I marked them with a black permanent pen. This bow tie will finish at 2". I have some tiny batik scraps to make my test blocks with.

Wow, 2” bow ties are tiny, but wow, what a quilt they will make!
ReplyDeleteThat sure will be a tiny block, Wanda!! Will you iron seams open?
ReplyDelete46 here with sunny skies, but a cold ocean breeze still...
Hugs for a good Sunday of sewing that binding on...

is that die from the 6" block dies or smaller. I have the 6" die and it is tiny for sure. I started to use it once but my color choices were wrong and I put it aside I need to dig it out sometime.
ReplyDeleteThat's a brain teaser! I don't think I could handle the challenge of all those itty bitty parts! I don't have the patience nor the eyesight anymore! But I'm anxious to see what you do!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun project to tie up. (LOL)
ReplyDeleteSome days are like that - our brains need time to ponder. Enjoy the hand binding and your die cut bow ties will be seriously small and undoubtedly very interesting to explore.
ReplyDeleteThose dies will make the cutest tiny bow tie blocks!
