Last night was a productive time. I got 20 more blocks sewn for a total of 80 blocks now. With an 8 x 10 layout the quilt would measure 48" x 60".
Here are the other 60 blocks. I can start working on the layout of the quilt now.
We're supposed to get our first snowfall today but the temperature will probably go high enough in the afternoon to melt all of it. I brought my pots of Begonias and Geraniums into the garage. I also pulled the 2 Geraniums from the pots on the porch steps and will keep them in the garage over the winter.
We are supposed to get snow in our area outside of Pittsburgh today but nothing yet. I noticed in your photo of your 20 new blocks all the dots are pointing left/right and none are up/down…..design choice, I wonder?
ReplyDeleteIt's raining here--finally some moisture for us:))) 45 degrees--so no snowfall here. Perhaps if the temp falls overnight we may get a few flakes...
ReplyDeleteYou've really got this quilt moving forward doing all those blocks...it's really looking great!! Good you brought your tender plants in...hugs, Julierose
Your floral blocks just keep getting prettier. Wish I could say it is going to snow here! :D
ReplyDeleteThe florals are beautiful! Snow here this morning at 6:30 a.m., but it's now 8 a.m. and it stopped.
ReplyDeleteNear frost but not quite here. All your prep work is starting to pay off with so many sewn blocks to play with!
ReplyDeleteit got down to 37 degrees this morning. I hope to get busy and get some sewing today it looks like you got a bit done
ReplyDeleteLove these blocks Wanda! With the polka dots here and there, my eyes just jump around looking at everything. Great job!

ReplyDeleteThe more blocks, the prettier this quilt will be. I wonder if some of the blocks should be made without the polka dots, just for variety. Food for thought!
ReplyDeleteOur low tonight is forecast to be 30*F but no snow is in the forecast. It's been years since we had the snow and winter weather that used to be normal here.
Hugs!
Polka dots and florals make quite an amazing quilt top. Your florals are like an English garden so full of beautiful blossoms. JJM
