Playing with pink..............

I'm still sewing pink triangle squares and finding a few more fabrics every day to add.  I decided to try a few layouts.

First all marching the same way.

Next I tried one of my favorite layouts, a zig zag.

Then I tried alternating diamonds which is interesting.  I have more to cut and sew so I have time to think about the layout.

It got up to 80 yesterday but I didn't do anything outside.  I was waiting for the UPS pickup of my return equipment to the cable company.  By the time they came I decided I would rather cut fabric than go outside.

  1. Such pretty pink HSTs! I always love a good zig zag design, but I am digging the alternating diamond design. How big are the pieces once they are squares? I am thinking it is going to take a lot of HSTs to make even a baby sized top.

No 80's here yet but a few 60's--encouraging and my daffs are out dancing in the freshening winds...hugs, Julierose

  4. I would rather play with fabric any day. Right now we are waiting for the deluge of oak tree “feathers” to slow. Our yard is covered in a thick layer of them with at least that much more yet to fall from the trees. THEN we will clean them up and be able to plant our annuals. The pollen count is far too high right now to enjoy being outside for long even wearing a mask.

  8. Lots of interesting ways to set triangles in Judy Hooworth's book Spectacular Scraps. Or just look up Douat's Permutation -- the mathematical concept that Hooworth uses in her designs.
