Yesterday was a day of contemplating where I go from here. On the left, top block is the one block that was leftover after making this layout 2 days ago, bottom block I sewed last night. The strip of fabric is one more piece cut the width I need for cutting with the die.
Maybe one more row on the bottom and then a narrow white with gray border and a wider border of some mottled batik. That is where I stalled yesterday.
The new Kaffe collective line of fabrics is being shipped now. With any luck I might have some in the mail today, unless of course the package decides to travel around the country first.
I really like that marbled fabric cut...hugs for a great weekend...it may be coldish here, but the sun is out !! Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThe color progression is wonderful. I wonder what marble / skinny black / marble would look like for the border. (The operative element being the skinny black.) Oooooh....new Kaffes!
ReplyDeleteI have a package with some of the new KF on its way here, too! A day of contemplating is good.
ReplyDeleteThis top is looking so good! But then, you do special things with color. I think it could take another row on the bottom or it could stand as is, both with the borders you envision. Good work.
ReplyDeleteI could stare at that picture for ages. Love the colours you used!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! Love that border idea too.
ReplyDeleteI too like your thoughts on the borders for Hattie's Choice. And what's with the mail anymore ? Weeks instead of days to receive anything is so frustrating.
