Here are the four blocks that I pulled out. The 2 in the middle are too purplish to go well with the red, yellow and orange. I like the one on the right so it might end up back in there. The one one the left is my least favorite block so its duplicate may come out too.
This is the only cactus bloom I have right now. No buds in sight either.
I have a new battery in my van now so I will be OK for awhile. The guy across the street works at the dealership where I have my work done so he took it to work in the morning and brought it back on his lunch hour. It was nice to not have to take it there myself and wait for the work to be finished.
Such good progress!
ReplyDeleteNice that you've gotten them all together and up on your wall...

Oh my Wanda, I love this new 16 patch. It's so beautiful. As always, thanks so much for sharing beauty and it's great to depend on you for that! You are a highlight in my day, everyday!! Love from this Missouri granny!
ReplyDeleteI just love these 16 patches set on point. The last flower is certainly is wisp of beauty.
ReplyDeleteso nice of your neighbor to drive your car in and take care of it for you - that is something I miss in the country is the "lack of a neighborhood" we all live a distance apart and really many of us over the years no longer know anyone as people have moved and/or died and new people move in
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice neighbor! Those bright blocks are such a nice antidote to gray January.
ReplyDeleteI'd say your neighbor deserves some cookies or scones next time you bake. Your tropical 16 patch is looking good.

Watching you and Patty create these 16-patches is a treat. Putting this one on point makes more of a statement. Are you going to trim the edges or add triangles? I will enjoy whatever you decide.
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me to use some of my old scraps this way. Thanks.
I really like this on point setting. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to make a "hot" quilt, Wanda. Red, orange, pink, and yellow all together to make a bright and cheerful quilt is a task I hope the get around to one of these days. In the meantime, I'll just sit here drooling over your quilt in the works!!
ReplyDeleteYour red 16-patch is absolutely gorgeous! I really want to make one. And I love the blocks on point. Such a small change but it has big impact!
ReplyDeleteWill you use one common fabric for the setting triangles, or mix it up?
Anne
This looks like candy! Oh yummm
ReplyDeleteThe blocks look so good! They look like a summer garden. Good neighbors are the best! I am glad you got your battery issue sorted out.
ReplyDelete59 blocks of beauty ! Truly magical to watch your designing works of art. The pace you keep up with day after day is beyond any of us 80 yr. olds out here. (*._.*)

Those blocks are just gorgeous, Wanda! I'm so glad your neighbor was kind enough to do that for you; what a nice guy.
