I intended to sew some more strips on the pineapple log cabin blocks but in the end just made masks. That is mainly because of the thread colors on my machine. 5 have a really soft denim on one side. The 3 on the top left have the same red flannel on the other side of all of them. Two have the same olive green with red flannel that was on the masks from the day before. One of the masks is for me. Is it obvious which one that is?
In my area of Ontario Canada, we make masks with batiks as they are more densely woven. The two outside pieces are the batiks with an inner layer of very dense muslin in the middle. Isn't flannel too loosely woven to be effective?
It is obvious? Hmmm... I would "take a wild guess" and say lower right.

ReplyDeleteThose are some good looking masks. Won't it be nice when the day comes that we don't have to make anymore?
