Colorwash sewn, border auditions............

All seams are sewn and pressing done.  It is 26" x 33.5".

I pulled some of the animal print fabrics to see if I want to add a border to this wallhanging.  The one on the left could be interpreted as tiger or zebra.  I called the other ones cheetah but maybe they are ocelot.  I'm not up on my wild animal info.

I'm still cutting squares from my African fabrics and have about another 30 fabrics to press and cut.  I was totally out of some of them on my trays of squares and down to one on many of the others.

  1. I really like this one! I think the cheetah on the right is the best choice for a border as it does pick up some of the other colors- just my two cents!

  2. I zoomed in - it's amazing how many varieties of patterns are visible, even when cut up into small squares. I know we're not voting but I like zebra print. It's milder today, some sun, Fuchsia's still in flower. Off out tomorrow on a day trip to Dewsbury market (West Yorkshire). The coach will have spaced seating. Hope we find a bargain :)

  3. I’ll be interested in seeing just which border you select. I’m NOT a fan of these types of prints but knowing you, it will be the perfect touch!

  7. I would go with one of the fabrics on the long sides based on the colors showing in my monitor. Beautiful piece of work!

  8. I like some colorwash designs better than others. This one is the most beautiful I have ever seen. Designs are so very interesting....and I would prefer a more simple border.

  10. Another beautiful colourwash! The border fabric on the RH side is my favourite, second would be the one across the bottom.

  11. No added border. It's very interesting with unusual fabrics most people are not familiar with. A narrow black border will finish it off perfectly!
