I had a lazy day yesterday so all I have to show you is the trees....after a light frost. I've decided a dry summer makes prettier fall colors.
Here is the one I showed about a week ago and it is really pretty now. Not a very nicely shaped tree but what is left of it is pretty.
Today I might mow the grass and work on some other things. It is getting warmer each day this week with 80 predicted for Friday.
Ahhhhh, I can almost smell the familiar Midwest Fall…….and oh my……yes, the colors are astonishing.
ReplyDeleteYour color change is a little farther along than here. The colors are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLazy days are good days too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trees Wanda, I've been seeing lots of fall colors here also when I'm walking Mickey.
ReplyDeleteLovely colors in those trees...so far we only have had very muted ones and today is very windy so leaves will be falling all over...

Beautiful! I miss our Salem, Oregon fall shows...all the maples turning color, and every color of autumn on display as leaves fall. Don't miss the 6+ weeks of raking leaves every weekend, though! Since returning back to Northern California we've had extreme heat, heavy smoke filled skies and PG&E turning off our power (to prevent fires, as they didn't trim trees around lines for decades). If it weren't for our kids and grandkids being here we wouldn't be either! Deb E/CA
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors - the trees are getting more drab here (the greens are far less lively). Only a few are turning color - but those that are seem to be brighter this year (perhaps because we've gotten so much rain from the multiple hurricanes that have tracked over our area this year as they wore themselves out).
ReplyDeleteLovely colors. I think the reds and oranges are more brilliant this year. Makes for such a lovely look.
ReplyDeleteI’m no expert on the big cats either, but I do know those aren’t cheetah prints. The cheetah has solid black spots. It could be leopard print, as the leopard has rosettes, or black spots with a brown Center. Or it could be any number of other spotted cats. Not surprisingly, my choice would be the zebra print! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt and your trees. Thank you for sharing!
