The next batch of jewel tone 16 patch blocks were completed yesterday. There are 2 each of the 6 shown here. I now have 34 blocks complete for this quilt.
I decided to sew some blocks in the solids and print series. I sewed 5 star blocks to add to the 17 finished that were in the box. I have all of the solid color triangles cut for the rest of the blocks. Now I just need to find the print fabrics I want to add.
I always love blue and green together - I have so many of them I should make some blocks like that, I always love the quilts that you do that way.
ReplyDeleteNice print fabrics...I like the pairing with the solids...

Those saturated sixteen patches are glorious - LOVE the colors. (and the stars are great - super way to pair prints with solids for your series).
ReplyDeleteLOVE those gorgeous greens and blues, Wanda!! Glad to see you've made some progress on these projects.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your continued inspiration. I have been following you for quite some time and look forward every morning to see what magic you have created. It helps to inspire me to get on the machine and make something..
ReplyDeleteThe fact that during this difficult time around the world, you are still able to provide a light and some inspiration is wonderful. I need to thank you.
Thank you!
Your 16 patch blocks are stunning! Fantastic fabrics. The star blocks are beautiful too. You inspire me Wanda!
ReplyDeleteEspecially love those blue and green 16-patches. They are so watery like a dark lagoon.
ReplyDeleteYou have gotten a lot more blocks made! You will have enough for some tops soon!
