Resting..........

The weather was beautiful yesterday, perfect for working outside but I couldn't get motivated to do anything so I had a day of rest.  There was a TV show on at 9 last night so I sewed 2 blocks while I watched it but haven't turned on the iron yet to press them.
I did put the last 2 that I sewed up on the design wall with the first six blocks.  Check out Lynn's quilt, my inspiration for this, hanging on her bedroom wall.  It is perfect displayed like that to see all of the wonderful fabrics.

  2. I really like this piece - at first I was thinking it was quite different then some you do but really I think maybe it is just different colors than you normally use? I went to the link you shared and love the piece she has hanging and of course added another blog to my list to look at!

Day of rest sometimes is the best and it's good you listened.

  4. I am catching up from being away from the computer since the 4th so happy blog anniversary! I love the postage stamp quilt. I am going to have to steal/borrow that idea to use up my scraps. I think I would not go as small as 1" finished squares though.

  7. It's fun to see each postage stamp block you add to your piece..... I did check out Lynn's blog and I like what Lynn said about memories of each tiny piece she stitched into her postage stamp. Plus I really liked her quilt on her bed.
