I thought I might get to the design wall yesterday but didn't. We walked around the yard and checked out the gardens. The bees and butterflies are still all over the aster blooms.
At first I thought the butterflies were small Monarchs but then decided they must be Painted Ladies.
I think this is the last Goldenrod to bloom. All of the rest of them have gone to seed.
The Sedum has changed from its pink hue to a soft red.
Now we are supposed to get 3 days in the 80s after some gloriously cool days.
I am looking forward to some cool days!
ReplyDeleteI think it is supposed to be warm this week - I know I had to put the air back on last night - I will probably leave it on this week, it is only 68 this morning so it never cooled off much last night. Mid 80's for daytime high's the weatherman said - next week much better - fall weather - love your garden.
ReplyDeleteLovely color asters. I had the same butterfly on my coneflowers yesterday- some are still blooming real nicely. I love the rich colors of fall flowers.
ReplyDeleteMy sedum haven't changed yet. Love your fall flower garden. I need to stop in at the nursery and see about the asters, yours are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe are cooler in the morning here but it still gets warm during the days and evenings. Asters and mums are everywhere here now - along with pumpkin patches, cornstalks, and scarecrows. Tis the season.
ReplyDeleteYour garden still is so pretty! I wish I could have Sedum, but the deer eat it. The forecast is calling for rain later on this week so I had better get some yard work done over the next couple of days.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful garden!
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful plants growing in your garden. I tend to pull up my yellow flowers, thinking they might be ragweed, which I am allergic to, but I will have to research the difference between goldenrod and ragweed, since they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see all those colours in the top photo, with mauve asters, orange centres, and all those other shades, I could see them all in a quilt, Even the dusky mauve. Green a perfect backdrop.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
