Almost done.........

I got three of the 6 blocks sewn yesterday and also pulled all of the rest of the fabrics to finish the last three.

We got more rain late afternoon into evening yesterday.  Now we have enough and maybe a little too much.  It will be cold over the weekend again so I'm waiting until next week to plant my tomatoes.

  1. for us it is cooler this weekend too, I have some windows a little open and I can hear the wind going through the leaves on the trees - it sounds and feels like fall this morning

  2. When I enlarged your photo, it dawned on me that these were HST, not squares. They are so beautiful the way they blend together. I guess you just have to have the right fabric!!

  3. I think this is gorgeous, just fantastic. Like Linda said, I thought it was squares too. Your fabric collection is wonderful. It has stopped raining here for now, but morning and evening temps are very cool. The flower garden is going nuts growing and blooming. I'm planting some starter perennials in some bare areas and need to separate the hosta. Always something to do if you have a flower garden.

  4. HI Wanda, this quilt is very butiful and totally inspiring. I think if I made it I would probably go a lazier route and just do half square triangles instead of the quarter square triangles that you have made. I don't think it would be as effective as yours is, though. I don't understand how you get so much done...you're a real Dynamo! I always admire your beautiful work.

  5. I saw where you had a cold front moving in for the weekend. Good sewing weather!

  6. I can only concur with all the rest: this little quilt is quite remarkable. Mostly, I think, because the "neutral" prints you use are so varied and alive. I'm really at a loss for words in how to describe it, there's so much movement and life in it. Thank you for sharing!

  7. You do have a wonderful fabric collection, but more importantly you have an excellent eye for color and depth. I am always inspired by watching your work, and this one is superb!
