It was an orange day.....

I quilted the orange 16 patch quilt yesterday, just my usual large meandering for a nice soft quilt.  Hobbs 80/20 batting for nice loft.

I decided to do the binding all by machine, stitching right next to the binding on the top to catch the flap on the back.  I got one side done and started the next and decided I was done for the day.

  1. It was so cloudy and dreary here yesterday that your orange would have brightened things up! I can't wait to see the whole quilt face on. I love the binding fabric.

  2. The more I see of this one, the better I love it. And orange isn't my color at all, but this is rich and happy.

  5. Oh, I love this orange quilt. I have started to sew some bindings on my machine too. It all depends on who the quilt is for, if I know it will be used over and over, it gets machine stitched. When I get better at it, I expect I will sew them all on the machine.

  7. I am finishing up an orange quilt for my daughter today, the last half of the binding. I love your quilt, I used to not like orange but the past 15 years I have just loved it and it is so happy. I also like the backing fabric, I have always liked that fabric but really didn't know what to do with it and I think it made a very nice back!
