Last blocks in place........

All of the blocks are on the design wall now and I think this is the final arrangement.  Sashing is being cut.  At this point I'm thinking a small border of the same fabric as the sashing and a big floral print for the border.  The one in the book has a border but it is a small print.

  4. It looks good to me. Are you going to put colored blocks at the intersections of the sashings?

  5. Looks terrific. The large floral will look great. The sashing is time consuming, isn't it? Just love the colors overall.

  9. Good morning Wanda.....After staring at this beautiful quilt, I noticed that the first full block in the middle, counting from the top has this stripe that gives the appearance of looped satin ribbon, and it's a lovely affect.

  16. Just gorgeous. I'm not at all sure I'd have the patience for all those half blocks, though. I might even be tempted to cut whole ones in half instead, to cut corners - no pun intended. I really like the thin sashing, it looked great when you had it there previously. But I'll have to see the border before I'm convinced of it. I think I wld be tempted to go without one? Either way, this is sure to be a winner!
