This colorwash was small enough to baste on my cutting table. I chose backings for all three small colorwash pieces yesterday.
This fabric on the back was too large of a print to cut for the squares so it is perfect as a backing fabric.
Last call: is there anyone else interested in a 2 day colorwash class at my home (Sandwich IL) in the first week of November? I'm trying to get one more in before the bad weather starts. If you are interested email me here. If for any reason the link doesn't work please leave your email in a comment so I can get back to you. Click here to see students' work from the July class.
I really wish I could attend. That looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought about doing an online colorwash class? I have no idea regarding the logistics, but I would be glad to pay for such a thing since Oregon is such a long way from Illinois.
ReplyDeleteWow! Great colors. How do you keep all your projects straight? You are working on so many at a time. You have much better organization that I have that is for sure.
ReplyDeleteLuscious backing fabric!
ReplyDeleteI am still ditzing along on my colorwash. It is hard to figure out where to go and how fast.
ReplyDeleteSigh, I so wish I could get out there, Wanda. It would really be an honor to learn this technique from you. Maybe in a few years! But it will depend on my peripheral neuropathy a lot. It's already becoming hard to travel. I'm just very glad that you share on your blog and I can keep up with what you're doing and see your work that way. It is just gorgeous and I love to look at it up close! So, thank you for sharing!
