Students' work.............

Below are the pieces designed by my 5 students the last 2 days.  I am so proud of them.  I think they might have thought I was exaggerating when I told them how long it takes to tweak it to perfection but they are believers now.  The pieces are all beautiful and unique.

I hope to get a better photo of this last one.  It is really prettier than this photo shows.  It happened to be on the wall that has the worst lighting near it.

  4. lovely work! I did two small wall hangings of this type long ago and it took forever, stepping forward to move a few pieces stepping back and doing it again, wandering off and coming back only to move a few more. No where near the quality of what you do.

  5. A most successful class it seems....from a fabulous teacher too! I keep looking at each one enlarged to enjoy that explosion of color. Each one is so beautiful and I see how hard they worked to get the light and movement to come together. The last one is so fabulous. Great job to all.

  14. These are all so gorgeous and unique. One looks like a person is jumping in the air with one arm raised to me. That last one is my favorite though. Can't wait to see them finished.

  16. You have lots of reasons to be proud, as do your students.
Somebody mentioned in a comment that she liked the zig-zag effect, but I couldn't tell where that was. I was intrigued by the different shapes and effects of the light centers in these student pieces. I don't recall having noticed anything like that in your quilts, did I just miss it? Or is this something your students are into, but you aren't?
