First August finish................


I decided to do the binding on gray dotty all by machine.  It finished at 60.5" x 76".


















I remembered to do the fold back to show the backing on this one.
I have two and a half sides hand stitched on this quilt.  I'm into the fifth of seven different binding fabrics at this point.

    I said it before, but I still admire the artistic restraint of sticking with the gray dotted fabric throughout. I really like this quilt!

    And then the fractured quilt! I have never mustered the courage to use more than one fabric in a binding. Maybe someday!

    Just love the gray dots with the hard edge of the zig zag. The colors are just super.

    Gray dotty is a winner - May have been less exciting to piece, but the results are excellent. Love the dot- Play in the backing ...

    Still one of my favorites! I've been into grays lately and made a little baby quilt with a gray background - it was a solid gray, Kona Ash, but I really like the way it turned out and plan on using that again sometime soon, the Kona Ash, but not the dame pattern or the same fabric otherwise. Now I see so many more possibilities, my eyes having been opened by your use of the gray dotty! Of course, I have already bought a lot of the Kona ash, so maybe I'll stick with it for a while? We shall see!
