My two quilting buddies came over yesterday and I got the quilting done on gray dotty and cut the binding for it. Then I started the hand sewing on this muli-fabric binding. I got almost two sides finished. We got .85" of rain early yesterday morning and a light rain in the evening. The grass is starting to grow again.
We got nothing in the morning, but about 8:30 last night we got .6 of rain, lightening and thunder. We needed it badly. Your making good progress for the start of the month. Keep the momentum going. Chris
I love hand sewing the binding. That next to last (but for the label) step gives me such a great sense of accomplishment. And it's such an easy step, which requires no thinking, calculating, cutting, or anything, just stitch upon stitch.

ReplyDeleteLooks super. Bet the quilting buddies got a lot done, too!
ReplyDeleteEager to see how that multi fabric binding turns out . . .
ReplyDeleteHand sewing is much more fun with buddies around.
ReplyDeleteWish we had some of that rain to green up our grasses.
