I finished quilting the light areas yesterday morning and got the basting threads pulled out and trimmed the edges. The binding is going to be several of the bright fabrics in the quilt.
Last night I started quilting gray dotty. I am ditch quilting with gray thread and extending the zig zag lines into the border. I got about a third of it done. This one will have the gray dot for binding so I can cut it when I cut binding for the quilt in the first photo.
That is a great idea to extend the zigzag to the border.
ReplyDeletethey are both is looking great.
ReplyDeleteThe quilting in both projects really enhances the designs without overpowering the fabrics and piecework! They are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHope quilting the dots is not making you crazy!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Fab quilt.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see "Fractured" finished. Love your colors in both quilts.
ReplyDeleteThose will make two nice finishes. I was trying to figure out why you were basting with the longarm, but I see you are using your home machine for the quilting.
ReplyDeleteIs the quilting as much fun as selecting the fabrics and designing ? It always adds so much to the piece, but a lot of fabric to swing around under the presser foot. Every step is so important and you have to love it all as you certainly do.
