If I do machine quilting too many days in a row it bothers my shoulder (fell on ice in Feb.) so it was time to take a break again and work on the little 2" squares colorwash. I have a little fine tuning to do on the left side but otherwise I think it is a keeper. It will finish at approximately 20" square.
I love it the way it is. It feels like the light is moving and pulsing gently. I wish I could make something like this in fabric instead of just watercolors.
I like the colourwash very much, I remember you hurt your shoulder but I should like very much to know if you/one ever learns to drop both shoulders when machine quilting. The little I do I have to constantly remind myself!
I may be getting a little better at seeing value. I can see that the left side could use a little tweaking.

Beautiful quilt, I'm feeling inspired by it to make a similar quilt in a bigger size to use up some of my KF scraps.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous little quilt - love the glow in the centre.
