I finished the cutting for two flannel quilts yesterday. This is the first one.
I used 5.5 yards in each quilt. The leftover section of the 4.5" strips was cut into squares for another quilt.
Last night I watched Netflix for almost two hours and got the first part done on this Stack and Slash quilt. Then I sorted them into groups of 4 and they are ready to stack and slash and shuffle.
Sounds different . Waiting to see . I loved the snowballs
ReplyDeleteSounds like you made great progress. I need to get a couple baby quilt sized quilts whipped up. Chris
ReplyDeleteSo lovely colors! :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Finland!

Looks like it goes together pretty quickly. I like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder about this block pattern.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness. That's a lot of prep work. Those rich, soft, warm fabrics are colors that guys love.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been on a trip-so, while he has been gone I have watched days of Netflix-every Miss Marple in all versions-and got a ton done! Tomorrow i need to clean up and pretend I've been doing something besides sewing:) Love those tans and reds!
ReplyDeleteI love the Netflix and quilting combo - it's how I get things DONE! Your quilt in progress looks so cozy, perfect for our Midwestern winter.
ReplyDeleteHmmm - I'm stuck on ideas for a quilt on my wall, so I haven't gone into the sewing room - but that's a great idea to watch a movie while working on another quilt - a mindless one. I forget that I can work on 2 projects at once. Thanks for your unintended inspiration.
ReplyDeleteLovely selections for both quilts. 5.5 yards each quilt is one big cutting project. I know you enjoy each phase of your quilts with the cutting, designing, sewing, quilting and binding. Did I leave out anything? (*._,*)
ReplyDeleteI did go back and checked out your post on Stack and Slash. I'm sure this new batch of blocks will be as fun to design with as you posted 11/4/11.
