One more row to add.............



I just need to add 6 more blocks on the right and it will be ready to sew together.  I have all of the blocks made (made 8 last night).  I just was too lazy to move it over to a double wall so I could finish the layout.  Click on the Fractured Quilt Along logo on the right side bar to go to Vicki's blog to see how everyone else is doing.





There is another quilt in the book that does a large spiral of pieces laid out like this.  I see they have to be all angled the same direction and I have been cutting mine angled in both directions for the first quilt.





I played around with some other layouts too.    This one would make vertical columns but kind of boring.  The one below is wonky pinwheels, REALLY WONKY pinwheels, hardly recognizable.  Again I think they need to be all cut at the same angle and I have them cut both ways.

    Looks like you have several options for quilts with the same blocks. I can see another series evolving. Chris

    Very neat block and I do kind of like the pinwheels, but definitely the first one is the best.

    You are getting this done fast! I had been thinking that there were other ways to lay these blocks out and you have come up with some interesting options.

    I always find it strange how so many can like the same pattern and there are dozens making this quilt right now. I had seen the pattern awhile back and really like it too and keep thinking of color but hadn't decided how I wanted to do it. I love seeing all of them on Vicki's blog

    Oh I love your quilt! i am still trying to figure out the directions on this one--I want to do a Christmas quilt in reds and greens for it...did you use their templates or did you make your own? Hugs and have a quilty weekend, Julierose

    I woke up with a headache this morning... my first thought was OMG this is how my head feels today. (*._,*) It really makes a statement .

    I can truly see the vibrant 'thunder and lightening' in this piece. Just amazing.

    I like the wonky pinwheels best .
    It looks to me that they are cut 2 ways . Am I right or wrong

    You're a genius. I saw your comment on the calico cat blog about putting a sticker on the C blocks to distinguish them easily from the D blocks. I think you saved a year off my life! Thanks.
