I was playing with Picasa 3 yesterday and made collages of my 16 patch quilts. I'm not including the orange one I made last year because the top isn't done yet. It needs to be wider. This is the garden series: Peony Garden, Zinnia Garden, and Blueberry Patch.
I chose photos of blocks, stacks to sew, sewing taking place, and finished quilt top.
There are several choices for layouts for the collages.
I did some sewing on the pastel 16 patch strip sets but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see them.
Lots of visual eye candy. Chris
ReplyDeleteCollages are so much fun and they share so much more about the process than a single snapshot can. Your sixteen patch works are marvelous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful assortment of quilt tops.
ReplyDeleteGreat visual comparison. Clicking back through your posts, I can see the series develop. In the collage format you condensed the entire process. I can't pick just one....they are all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThey all look fantastic!

The collage format is very informative of your process. And the smaller scale photos reinforce what we all know: looking at quilts in small scale highlights value placement. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteI have always called my such quilts Cottage quilts ,

ReplyDeleteOh fun!!!! I love the colors in the collage.
ReplyDeleteIt is almost as much fun playing with the photos of the quilts as it is making them. And I LOVE seeing your handiwork in all its splendor.
ReplyDeleteAnother great post today Wanda, really like the photo layout you presented.
ReplyDeleteEach quilt top has it's own grand look, and to chose a favorite is impossible, they are all beautiful !
