The last 3 walls won't get painted until it cools off again, probably Friday. It sounds like we might get 3 cool days in a row starting late Thursday. That meant yesterday I had a day off to do what I wanted, yay!! I have the triangle squares sewn for 12 more blocks with more light, more red and orange. The yellow will be sewn today.
I think the fabric with faces is at least 15 years old, maybe older. I bought it while I worked at a quilt shop between 1995 and 2000. There are only a couple triangles with a recognizable face, the rest partial faces.
Sheila purchased one of my batik squares kits and she has finished her wallhanging. Check it out.
As always you are one busy lady. Today off to a quilt store. My girlfriend is looking for more of a fabric that she recently purchased and doesn't remember where she bought it so we are going to the quilt stores again to see if we can find it. I suggested that she use computer address labels glued to each other and then pinned onto the edge of the fabric and write on it where you purchased it and the date. It may make it easier if you are looking for more fabirc.
ReplyDeleteI see that you have been moving right along on your painting. I don't know how you can do it but I know if I was down on my knees for that long I would not be able to get up.
Your fabric with faces hasn't aged a bit! Good luck with that painting. You are one ambitious woman!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Sheila's link. Her piece turned out very pretty. I still have my kit in the bag.
ReplyDeleteI would need a day in-between painting too and now (if it is a humid there at it is here) it's not the best weather to paint anyway. Enjoy your sewing time!
ReplyDeleteThat's great fabric!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are taking some time for yourself!
ReplyDeleteIt must give you a little thrill when you see what people do from your kits and classes.
Glad that you took soe time to have fun too!!!
ReplyDeleteSheila's quilt looks beautiful.
I enjoy watching you sew black and white fabrics into your colorful blocks. The fabric with faces is really neat!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link to my blog, Wanda. I love my batik colorwash! Love to show it off. It was sooooo much fun to make : )
You paint like you sew... perfection in all you do. Sure looks good Wanda.
ReplyDeleteZig-Zag combinations are fascinating, I know you are creating another master piece.
Sheila did a wonderful job laying out and completing her kit. I am jealous... I have been playing far too long with my 2 kits. The edges are becoming frayed with moving them back and forth. (*._,*)

ReplyDeleteomg, I had that fabric with the faces - but I think I finally gave it away with my other old fabric. Amazing!
