I finished the I Spy kits and now I'm on to the next cutting project for the Quilts of Valor projects. One of the groups is using 2.5" squares so the last time I went to choose fabrics for kits I brought home a bunch to cut with my die cutter. I like to cut the pieces to an easy to handle size for the die and then stack 10 pieces and cut.
Here are the rest of the fabrics to cut. Most of the pieces I brought home (from donated fabric) are quarter and half yards. I have to press them first so I did that while I watched some of the new season shows on TV.
Some of the trees are starting to change color. I took this photo with my zoom lens from my kitchen window so it isn't real clear. That may be because the window needs washing, but we won't go there.
The trees are starting to change early this year aren't they? Those certainly are pretty.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are being a regular cut up. LOL! I need to clean also, but would rather sew. Hope you have a great day. Chris
ReplyDeleteYou never seem to slow down! My windows are all in need of cleaning too!
ReplyDeleteEven with your studio cutter, there is still a lot of work involved...
ReplyDeleteI love fall... and vignettes like from your kitchen window are why!
Your die cutter has certainly proved to be a worthwhile purchase!
ReplyDeleteha ha ha, mine don't look good because I take them through the screens.
ReplyDeleteHa....at first glance I was thinking the colorful trees was a piece of fabric. Gorgeous colors!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's more important: washing windows, or quilting? I think we all know the answer to that.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very nice view from your window. The leaves are falling everywhere. My driveway needs raking but so many trees out here that it is not worth doing it. The Zinnias are looking a little haggard also. Fall must definitely be here.
ReplyDeleteYour daily chores are never boring that is for sure. Most of our trees have already turned and leaves are falling. The suffocating smoke from the forest fires did not seem to make any difference. It has been 39 days without any rain here. How many days was it before you got your rain ?

What gorgeous fall color you have there. We so seldom get any at all here. I like to cut a lot when I get started, too. I end up with a lot more than I need at the time, but when I'm ready for a new project, I have a head start.
