My turn......

I started a colorwash on a small design board to use for demo purposes at the class.

Last night I decided to transfer the pieces to a large design wall and continue working on it.  I can see a lot of changes I need to make now that I see it on the computer monitor.
Today is the Stack and Slash workshop for the guild so I'm expecting another fun day.

  5. I guess my eye isn't as developed in this as your eye is. I don't see anything out of place.

  7. Hi Wanda,
I like your progressive photos. As the pieces come together and you add more and more dark, the whole thing really glows.
I can see some pieces to switch around there, but can it start to drive you nuts if you don't walk away for awhile?
    Enjoy your class today!

  10. I think these are so fascinating! I can see that they would be a little more involved than you would think! I'm kind of slow so one might take me f-o-r-e-v-e-r......

  12. Lovely, you need a huge stash to make one of these!

  13. When I lived in Chicago and belonged to a Guild there, I took a colorwash class from the author of the "Watercolor" books. I only made one, but I love them! You make me want to put that back on my "Bucket List". My challenge was getting all the fabrics to make it---that is a really challenge!

  14. Would you take us through the changes you see? When I look I see maybe two that look out of place, but it would be great to know what you are seeing and the process you use to get it just right. If I lived in the Midwest, I would take one of your classes!

  15. Your color washes are Like an explosion of color. White hot glowing in the center and growing into your trade mark 'exuberant' drama of light to deep hues.

I know I am not telling you anything, but I had to tell you how your photo affects my eye. Just WONDERFUL to see.

  17. I love the glowing centre! I'm also curious how on earth you managed to transport the pieces home from the class without disturbing your arrangement.
