For the last 2 weeks I have spent a little time every day cutting kits for an upcoming colorwash class. I offered kits to my students and they all said yes. I am cutting for myself too as I always need new variety added into the the many trays of squares that are already cut. I have cut over 6000 batik 2.5" squares. If you are picturing me cutting them one at a time, stop! I cut 3 strips from 4 fabrics at a time (8 layers) and cut 2 of the strips into squares and 1 for reserve to cut later into rectangles and squares. There are 234 strips in this photo. Now I am cutting African fabrics for another student and for myself.
Today I'm taking a day off and going out with the girls!
Have a great day off Wanda!

ReplyDelete(Thanks for all the cutting you've done. I can't wait to see my kits.)
Good Greif that is a lot of squares! Even if you cut 8 layers at a time, that is a heck of a job! After all that cutting you deserve to have a day off and have some fun!
ReplyDeleteWow Cutting can be fun but this was over the top. You go girl, you are doing a great job. I love reading your blog. Thanks for the example.
ReplyDeleteWhat ? You have not found the invisible foot yet ? I just know how frustrated it is to be looking for something that is so important. I am still looking for a favorite pair of scissors that I have misplaced years ago.
ReplyDeleteLoved your post yesterday, those are reality photo's of a creative person's work area.
Enjoy your day with your friends.
