Rainbow River quilting......

I wanted the quilting on Rainbow River to resemble ripples in the water.  After procrastinating for 2 days since loading this quilt I finally tackled it and it only took 2 hours to quilt it.  I had to change the bobbin color three times and the top color 4 times.
I had it laying on the table to be trimmed and the sunlight was coming in the basement window and shining across the quilt.
I am fairly happy with the quilting.  I hope I will be liking it better by the end of the day today.  I rarely like the quilting right after I have done it.
The binding needed to match each edge somewhat so these are the choice I'm using.  I got the binding sewn on last night and started the hand sewing.

  7. I'm the same way with my quilting. The further away I get from the actual labor, the more I usually like it. I think your work is beautiful.

  11. The quilts you do are all beautiful. I too have to live with my work for awhile before I start really liking it. Today is the day that I am tracing patterns so that I get the christmas quilt started with the embrodiery. I have looked at the pattern and fabric for months. Today is the day.

  13. Your quilting looks like water. An excellent choice, in my humble opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of your quilt using 6 different fabrics in the binding.
