Sparkling Stars is making its debut, binding done, label on. I made the binding a little wider on this one as a design element. A narrow binding wouldn't have been quite enough of the stripe. This is number 5 of 14 that need to be finished by the end of May.
I checked my daffodils and I'm going to get a few blooms this year. I guess I need to dig up the other batch and spread them out since they haven't bloomed for 2 years.
Sparkling Stars is (searching for adjectives even close to adequate) . . . amazing, awesome, fantastic, gorgeous, stunning, beautiful . . . marvelous, dynamic . . . love the name, love the colors -- what a perfect example of your piecing and deisgn skill, your insight, and your attention to detail.
Are you planning to offer a show catalog featuring the official portraits of your works? If so, please put me on the list for a copy!
Oh, Wanda, your Sparking Stars are wonderful! They just almost jump off the screen. The binding really sets them off, too. My daffodils are almost done now. But the iris are blooming.
Your Sparkling Stars do exactly that -- sparkle! It's a beautiful quilt!! The binding is the perfect finishing touch. The little patch of daffodils on the roof garden has started to show green leaves already. This is incredibly early for here!
Your stars do sparkle. They're lovely. Good call on the wide binding. It indeed is a great complement to the design of the quilt. Deadlines are good and bad, aren't they? You're moving right along on your finishes.
Sometimes the bulbs just die off and don't bloom, but if the leaves come up you might need to thin out as you said. The quilt looks great. Chris
