Even though I thought I would take a day off on the quilting of this one, I was so close to done that I worked on it 3 separate times of the day and finished it last night. Here it is ready for trimming.
After trimming I put it up on a design wall to study it and try to decide on a binding color. It was too late last night to start looking for candidates so I'll do that today.
Raining here and some heavy on the way. The quilt is beautiful. My Crabapples are starting to open. Hopefully they don't get ruined. Chris
ReplyDeleteLOVE the quilt!! And oh those blossoms are heavenly!
ReplyDeleteThat quilt makes my heart sing. I may have to make "my version" of that one. (if you don't mind, of course)
ReplyDeleteI think it would be amazing on the wall of our fellowship hall at church.
great looking quilt, sometimes it is hard to take the day off and do something else when you are near to a finish.
ReplyDeleteThe redbuds are pretty, ours have leafs on already and buds are gone.

ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful and the trees are stunning.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilt. Looks like a stained glass window. Lovely Redbuds!
ReplyDeleteI love the cross quilt and how timely. Our skies are heavy with rain today as well, and it's so very gloomy. The clouds are hanging so low, it feels like you can reach up and touch them! Lovely quilt. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is an eye poper, love it.Wig.
ReplyDeleteRaining here, too. The cherry trees will have lost many petals by the end of today . . .
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous quilt!
Your quilt is stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and striking play of light and shadow....as always. I so enjoy your quilts and their inspiration to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a powerful quilt! I can see why you were compelled to finish the quilting on it. Will be interested to see what you choose for binding.
ReplyDeleteYour cross quilt is stunning...it is like a stained glass window.
ReplyDeleteThis red tree is gorgeous Wanda- it reminds me of Lilacs. Does it have its own fragrance? What a wonderful thing to see outside your window.
ReplyDeleteWarmest regards,
Anna
Hi Wanda,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great view out of your kitchen window! Hopefully that rain didn't drop all of the blooms.
I, too have always liked that quilt you're working on for the show. Love the play of light vs. dark.
