Finally done.......

The hanging sleeve has been sewn on, the last edge of binding hand sewn.  It doesn't have a label yet because I haven't decided on the name.  I called it "I'm a ZigZag" when I first finished the top.  I have been calling it "Wild ZigZag" while I was finishing it.  I will need to print another sheet of labels in a few days so I'll have to decide by then.  I used a cotton/bamboo batting in this one.  A friend had purchased 2 batts on sale and she traded one to me for a different shape piece of cotton batting.  I knew I had used it in one that I hand basted but I wasn't sure it was this one until I checked the bag and saw that the batt was 60" square, the same as this quilt.  It is soft and drapable and I think I will use bamboo again.

  3. I really like this quilt, I have admired it all along.

I have been using bamboo batting exclusively and really like the weight, and it washes very well too.

  15. It turned out great! I like "Wild ZigZag" too. Another option might be "I should have zigged instead of zagged" for all the ripping you had to do on it! ;o)

  18. One of the other nice things about bamboo is that it doesn't get the creases of cotton.

I'm intrigued by the bamboo batting. How do you think it might be for hand quilting?

  22. I love this quilt. I want to make one. Another one for the bucket list. It makes me think of dancers or even a marching band when they perform at parades or half time at football games.
