The hanging sleeve has been sewn on, the last edge of binding hand sewn. It doesn't have a label yet because I haven't decided on the name. I called it "I'm a ZigZag" when I first finished the top. I have been calling it "Wild ZigZag" while I was finishing it. I will need to print another sheet of labels in a few days so I'll have to decide by then. I used a cotton/bamboo batting in this one. A friend had purchased 2 batts on sale and she traded one to me for a different shape piece of cotton batting. I knew I had used it in one that I hand basted but I wasn't sure it was this one until I checked the bag and saw that the batt was 60" square, the same as this quilt. It is soft and drapable and I think I will use bamboo again.
wonderful I have been wanting to try bamboo batting too, glad to hear you like it.

ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Wanda. I am curious as to what you finally name it though!
ReplyDeleteI really like this quilt, I have admired it all along.
ReplyDeleteI have been using bamboo batting exclusively and really like the weight, and it washes very well too.
I like the placement of the black squares in this.

I really like the black and white in this quilt and how the black squares are sprinkled throughout. It is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous quilt. I love the black and white squares with all the colored strips. AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteI really like your quilt and am partial to the name "Wild Zig Zag" myself!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove it,Wanda! I was thinking how I loved those black squares dancing across the quilt - maybe Zig Zag Dance? Good luck with your show - hope you post lots of pictures!
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to try bamboo....glad to hear you like it. Would your recommend it in a bed quilt, also?
ReplyDeleteI love the abundant color you use!!!
It really looks wonderful. That's a lot of zigging and zagging!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing. What's amazing is how much I love this. AND how beautiful it is. My first thought is that it's too bold for my taste and that tought lasted 4 seconds and I decided I have to have one too. LOL
ReplyDeleteWandaful way to start our work week. The energy in Zig- Zag shows. Love it ! Your show in June is going to be as much fun as you have had creating your fabric art.

Definitely "Wild Zig Zag" (a bold name for a bold quilt)!
ReplyDeleteLove this one Wanda and once again truly amazed and impressed with what you get from your scrap stash!

It turned out great! I like "Wild ZigZag" too. Another option might be "I should have zigged instead of zagged" for all the ripping you had to do on it! ;o)
ReplyDeleteLove it Wanda. It's perfect.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! It looks fabulous. I love the little black and white squares, which help to pop the eye around.
ReplyDeleteI love how the quilt turned out. I've used the cotton/bamboo quite a few times and I really like it.
ReplyDeleteOne of the other nice things about bamboo is that it doesn't get the creases of cotton.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt. Very interesting how you placed the black/while squares and strips. Makes the bright colors pop.
ReplyDeleteI had wondered about bamboo batting. I'll try it.
Love this one! The movement is so great.
ReplyDeleteThis one really makes me want to just sit back and take in all the different fabrics that are in the quilt!
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by the bamboo batting. How do you think it might be for hand quilting?
I love this quilt. I want to make one. Another one for the bucket list. It makes me think of dancers or even a marching band when they perform at parades or half time at football games.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! I just got mine back from the quilt show which lasted a month. I can finally play with it now! Whee!
ReplyDeleteHi Wanda,
ReplyDeleteThis quilt has to be one of my favorites! So lively.
How about Blocked ZigZag?
Looking forward to a hint of spring this week!
