A finish and a recap of January........

Here is the official portrait of Crooked Cobblestones 3, finally finished.  It was started in 2009 and finished in 2012.
I did go back to the label program and made a new label.  I had used my last piece of the really nice printer fabric and had to use a different brand that I don't care for.  The photo is washed out on this brand and was so vivid on the other one.  The first piece of it I put in the printer jammed and was ruined, and the second piece had smudges from the printer on 2 of the labels so 2 sheets = 2 labels instead of the 8 I should have had.
Here is my recap of January.  I quilted 5 quilts, gifted the flannel quilt, and started the warm/cool zig zag and 3 small crooked cobblestone pieces.  I also made 3 mugrugs, worked 3 days at stores, and taught one class.  Now if I can just keep this up I might make some headway on the 52 quilt tops hanging on hangers.  And of course I'll start a few projects.....

  1. Love the label! I think I might do the same with mine. I love the fact that you actually printed a photo of the quilt on the label... smart! You were extremely productive in January!

  5. You had a great month! Congratulations! Now if you quilted 5 each month you could make that stack of 52 tops disappear by November!

  7. Crooked Cobblestones is just amazing -probably said before but worth repeating. I may have to try to make that one day...dang...work the plan Diane, work the plan...
I find using printer fabric is one rather frustrating, basically because I'm cheap and they're expensive and even a good one jams or smudges eventually and ticks me off. jeez where did that come from? going to get another cuppa coffe now.
I think I'm gonna make a twister QOV quilt-every time I see you pictures I like it more and more.

  24. As Nifty Quilts says....I love the GLOW of the cobblestones quilt. The center just pulls me in. Rather than just a mish-mash of fabrics that 'go' together, you've arranged them to evoke emotion. I've added it to my list of inspiration quilts!
