Progress on diamonds.......

I needed mostly light bordered diamonds to finish the rows on the design wall.  I got this batch done the last 2 evenings.
This is the next group to sew.
I started auditioning fabrics for the borders of the edge half diamonds.  I have decided that the half diamonds will be all the same fabric but the borders on them might be more than one fabric.  I have also decided on one more row in length and chose all of the fabrics for that too.  I need to have some rows sewn before next Monday when my art quilters group will be here.  There is nothing like a deadline to get me back on track.

  1. I like the idea of the borders being the same fabric and having the dark sashing. It will definitely frame up the quilt. I definitely know what you mean about a deadline too. It works for me the same way.

  2. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are a master of determining value and contrast in you work. That's what makes it so enticing!

  8. This one just makes me think of a big, beautiful box of chocolates, each in its own little frame, and each totally enticing.

  12. Good Luck, with your deadline. I discovered over the course of my life, that I detested deadlines- they never seemed to bring out the best in me. Gom, however, thrived on pressure and positively shone in such times. Different strokes, I guess.
    Love the diamonds.
