Thanks everyone for your prayers and hugs. Dad was better this morning but still some problems so he'll be in the hospital a couple days. I'm hoping he can go home and have home health care again vs. going to the nursing home for a stay.
You might be interested in a book that I'm reading right now--really superb on all the complexities of watching out for an elderly parent. My parents both are gone now, but even so, I'm interested to read the book retrospectively. It's by Jane Gross, _A Bittersweet Season: Caring for Our Aging Parents--and Ourselves_, just published this year.
I am sure you are relieved that your Dad is improving . Now maybe you will be able to take a breather once you have him situated with home care. It's not easy when the bulk of care and decisions rest on one persons shoulders. Take care of yourself !
Glad to hear that your Dad is doing better. Get some rest yourself, girl. You deserve it. I will keep you and your Dad in my thoughts and prayers. Hoping that he can return to his own home.
Wanda - I'm so glad your dad is doing better and is in caring hands. I hope he'll be home again soon and you can breathe more easily. Take care of yourself in the meantime and get some rest. Lots of love, Leslie
Oh my, take care of yourself too Wanda. I will keep your Dad in my prayers.

It is so much nicer for someone to have home health care after they are sick. I think when you are sick you just want to be in your own home.
