After you finalize your layout, start analyzing how you will sew it together. I had several sections that were simple to figure out so I sewed them first. Now the section in the middle (tree/fish/giraffe) is the tricky part that will need at least 2 partial seams to assemble it.
Wanda...can't wait to see this completed. You are making me itch to find some indigos and give it a try! Your tute is very helpful and as always, inspiring me to use those fabrics that have been just laying there.
I love seeing this quilt come together. Hope your dad is resting better and getting well and that you are rested up. Karen http://karensquilting.com/blog/
Hope things are going well with your dad. Sending you both loads of prayers and hugs.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the fabrics in this quilt.
I really like how this quilt is coming together. And it is so different from the brights I am used to seeing on your wall.
ReplyDeletelove your black and white quilt, especially the animal prints.

This is so pretty. Love the use of that collection of fabrics. Sometimes they are just too pretty to cut up into small pieces.
ReplyDeleteI can see the thought process that goes into it. It looks great.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I have done a few of these modular quitls, but I have always made them fit exactly so that I don't have any partial seams. They scare me.
ReplyDeleteI really like this one. It will have so many things to delight the eyes, just lots of interest, and blue!
ReplyDeleteOoo! Don't know if I'm ready for partial seams; maybe I will be really careful with my layout!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to pop in and tell you that I really admire your work. Beautiful!
