No brainer sewing..........

I decided to do something that I can do automatically without much thinking yesterday.  I woke up with the migraine again but it was gone by lunch time.  The 'day after' I am really tired so a binding was a perfect task.

This year I planted my own hanging pots for the backyard because  I had so many pots left over from previous years.  They have been hanging for about 5 days now so they are starting to spread out a little.

This is the view out my dining room picture window.  I had a hard time getting this flower bed to fill in until I add some hostas, a hydrangea bush, and some cranesbill/geraniums.
I have a couple volunteer redbud trees to dig out.

  4. The wave quilting seems to be the perfect solution for most fabrics and patterns! Can't think of a piece where it would't be suitable.

  5. Saplings in the garden are for the birds.... this year I have dug out seven with six left to dig.... I guess I have not be "that far back" into the rose garden for several years.... as these trees have been there for more than a few months.... Your hanging pots look great.... keep watering!

  7. Pretty flowers. I need to finish mine and get my garden in. We had lots of rain overnight, so not sure when that will happen!

  8. You're so ahead of me yardwise--we have had cold raining weather and summer seems far off! I get migraines when the pressure changes too--it's been a bad year for them. Glad yours is gone!

  9. I'm glad your migraine left. It's always nice to get a binding on, and I find it so relaxing to do the hand stitch part.
You baskets are really pretty. Orange and pink is one of my latest favorite color combos.

  12. Your yard is so lovely. Mine is still a mess and the rain won't stop long enough to get much done. I tried your wavy quilting. Turned out pretty good for a first attempt. Sure goes fast compared to "in the ditch."

  13. Those migraines sound positively beastly!! Glad you are feeling better.

The pots and the greenery look beautiful. It is such a refreshing look after such a long winter.

  14. I am glad that your migraine is gone and you are back to the living again. Your pots look fantastic. I wish I had the breath to garden like you do. I did get my zinnia seeds planted. Now if the rain just stays gone long enough so everything does not drowned. The stream running through the yard was over the banks part of today. I look forward to the sun but not the heat that is coming also. Enjoy Memorial Day
