I thought the weatherman predicted a little shower that wouldn't amount to much when I watched him Saturday night. I started working on my last pots, the ones to go by my garage and it poured. I think we got over 2" in a couple hours. The day started out with fog. By 7 p.m. the sun was trying to peek between the clouds before sunset.
Here are 2 views of this pot, from the top above, and here from the side. This one has a lot of purple vines to contrast with the greens and pink.
I worked on the hand stitching on my binding and finished the 3 zippered totes that I started last week.
To my USA readers, have a safe Memorial Day if you are travelling.

I think we now have your rain. We were planning on going to our little town's Memorial Day parade, as we do each year, but this morning I awoke to dark, dark skies, thunderstorms and heavy rain. So not only was your weatherman wrong, but so was ours. Your planters look great.
This is a great tradition to plant new arrangements this way...now they are well watered. I wrote a bit about Memorial Day and posted some flowers...in between showers ( not deluge) here too.
Love the colours of your pots! I have been busy planting too. Our weather is changing. Hot, humid air from the south is coming our way. That means our temps will feel like they are in the 40s. I am not complaining, but why does it feel like winter one day and summer the next?
Your planters look wonderful! We had thunderstorms last night and now we're in a 3-day heatwave. From chilly and damp to heat in less than 24 hours. I love it!
The pots are wonderful. Please take pictures throughout the summer so I can see how they grow. I am doing a bunch of small sewing projects and then will have to finish 3 squares on a quilt that I have designed and then it will be ready for borders and then quilting. I had a quiet Memorial day in the house with air running.
