I needed to finish sewing this so it would be off my design walls when my art quilters come on Monday. I brought it to my living room and I think it is going to work as the new wallhanging in there. Of course that means I have to decide how I am going to quilt it.
Two pots are planted; I need to get a few more plants for the rest of them.
I had to get into an awkward position to look up at this Columbine in my front garden. I hope the neighbors weren't watching. I used Super Macro setting for this shot.
Just a reminder if you haven't been following along on the above quilt that these are the template sets I used to make it.
Love, love, love this quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour circle quilt is wonderful, I love how th ebatiks seem to blend together in places. Quilting it is a challenge though, I look forward to seeing what you decide to do - I know it'll be great!
ReplyDeleteThose template sets are so nice. I have the 7" set, I am using it to make my scrappy circles :)
This quilt is amazing. I really, really love it, Wanda. Can't wait to see the finish. Love your flower pots too. It hasn't been done here yet.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful... brava on a great finish!
ReplyDeleteI love the way this quilt turned out....just beautiful. I never tire of looking at it.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is wonderful. The colors weave thru it nicely and really entertain the eye. This is a work of art.
ReplyDeleteOh! That came out even more spectacular than it was already looking!!!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGlad you have a place to hang that gorgeous quilt! Also glad to see the templates -- I've tried making my own a couple times for projects and it's hard to make them accurate and keep them that way.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Hannah
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I have made a couple using only the large template.....now I want to include the small template next time....
ReplyDeleteThat will look beautiful on a living room wall. I've started potting up a few things too but it is just so cold here, nothing but perennials can survive outside yet.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty quilt. I love the partial circles. When I teach the circle and spin, most don't want to break the circles up. I love it that way!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous Wanda! It will look spectacular on your wall.
ReplyDeleteI think I actually said "OH" out loud when the picture of your finished quilt top popped up. It is gorgeous. I am inspired to get away from the computer and go into my sewing room to start working!
ReplyDeleteAnother masterpiece, Wanda. I don't know how many times I've seen this work in progress -- and I just noticed it's a combination of two size drunkard's path - doh!
ReplyDeleteThanks for including the link for the templates, she also has some great tutorial videos on there.

Your quilt is absolutely PERFECT for your living room ! It makes such an awesome statement. Like a looking through a kaleidoscope of brilliant glass bubbles.
ReplyDeletePorch pots are as pretty as your quilts and my oh my that Columbine is stunning.
That little stinker of a chipmunk you featured on Sat. post ! When it comes to bird feeders it is difficult to out smart those little critters.
I too planted my miniature gardens in barrels and pots on Saturday. (9) So glad the weather looks like it will be nice (I hope) to them.

Oh, Wanda, that quilt is SO beautiful. It turned out even prettier than I thought it would be! Your flowers look mighty good, too.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!
ReplyDeletePretty flowers :)
Stunning...will make any room an art gallery show!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah! Love the quilt, the colors are wonderful. Oh, lordy, I just keep getting inspired by something else. My batiks are now calling me. wonder why I don't get anything done!? The flower pots are delightful. I can't keep anything alive, but for my birthday my girlfriends (The Whimsies) always buy me a pot of flowers for the front door -- such optimists!
ReplyDeleteThat quilt came out wonderful, I love the way my eyes move all over it. You know, of course, if you're doing something awkward the neighbors are watching.
ReplyDeleteI absolutly love this quilt. Did you order the templates on-line or did you find them in a local quilt store? How big did the quilt end up?
ReplyDeleteThe flower pots are beautiful. You must take a picture of them in a month.
I love this quilt! Thanks for including the link for the template sets. Makes me want to break out a UFO:)
ReplyDeleteWe have about 4 squirrels and they are so fun to watch!

That's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you yesterday. We were in the mountains for the weekend and stopped at Sugar Pine Quilt Shop. The selection of batiks is enormous and it made me think of you.
