I had avoided the Kaffe Fassett Liberty prints until I saw a few were on sale for $3.98 a yard on the internet. I decided I should have them. They are a totally different flavor than his other fabrics, with a very British look to them.
I bought plants for my pots yesterday and the day before so I should have something to show tomorrow. I have already planted 2 hanging pots for the back yard, now I need to do the 3 for the porch.
I have to say that those are certainly different prints from Kaffe.
ReplyDeleteUsed your advise about sewing machine needle size, machine tension and stitch width and can happily say that my sewing machine will now sew batiks without skipping stitches! Thank you soooo much.
ReplyDeleteAbout the bird feeder ... Wonder if all chipmunks are as smart as the one in your yard? Though you have tried to find a bird feeder that protects seed from critters, I'm beginning to wonder it that's really possible?
Must be Kaffe's take on what is British. You guys have a different feeling for it than we do. You do know he is an American?
ReplyDeleteNo chipmunks here but the local squirrels are just as wily...
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are fantastic, I haven't seen them before! Chipmunk, cute but not fantastic.
ReplyDeleteOh the joys and challenges of feeding the beautiful birds...sigh.
ReplyDeletesmart chimp! I don't know why some of your photos don't show up on my computer :(
ReplyDeleteHere's a chipmunk tip that has worked well for us. Thread a metal slinky over your birdfeeder pole. Fasten it at the top, but let the rest hang free, so it spirals around and around the pole. We've had no furry thieves since we added these!
ReplyDeletewow what a smart chipmunk - too bad for you and the feeders though. I had a squirrel investigation my hanging tomato topsy turvy bags (grown tomatoes upside down) this morning and had to chase it off.

i cannot believe the chipmunk. I can see a hint of Kaffe there but they certainly are different. I like them.
ReplyDeleteBlogger was acting up this morning and I was having withdrawls so I went to my google reader to see what was new and posted a note there after this entry. I don't see the comment here, so I am wondering if you got it and if it went to you as an email. Just wondering. I prefer to read blogs from my dashboard.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you've got some pretty crafty chipmunks over there!
xx. Carol
The fabrics do look British. You garden is going to be beautiful when you get all your planting done. Now all you have to do is keep that chipmunk from digging around them. He is one smart critter. With my feeder he would never get in. The top twists shut.
ReplyDeletechipmunks - the bane of my garden existence! Their destruction is unbelievable in its depth and reach. I don't like them around here!
ReplyDeleteThe new Kaffe is, well, interesting! The jury is out until I see the real deal!
Love the Kaffe/Liberty fabrics... where did you find them at such a great price???
