Playing with fabric

I got up with a headache yesterday morning and didn't accomplish much.  It was cloudy in the morning looked like it would rain but the sun came out for most of the day.  I played with some groups of fabric, fabric therapy. This group is a true purple although it looks blue on my computer screen and the light one is apricot not pink.
I took the pictures at night so the colors aren't true.  I had to add green to this one to make the light fabric show up but that made the Kaffe large print and the orange too dull.  Just imagine this group much brighter.

The apricot/gold light fabrics are much richer than they look here and the dark blue is really purple.  I had fun playing with the fabrics even if I can't show you a true representation.

  3. Without the added fabrics you chose, the peonies would look very pathetic; this way, it is whimsical, a twinkle. I love it. And also the other combos.

  7. I really like the way you use big prints. I shy away from them but when I see what you do it makes me want to give them a try. I love the middle combination.

  10. Hope you are feeling better. These weather fronts can be painful. I love the fabric combo's. My grandson (14) keeps telling me that blue and orange go well together - but I am still not sure.
