Yesterday was errand day. I also visited Dad twice at the hospital. Fit my nap in there and there wasn't a lot of time to get creative. I looked through the new Kaffe book again last night and decided to pull some yellows for one of the quilts. These are mostly Martha Negley and Philip Jacobs fabrics with just 2 Kaffe fabrics. In the book there are 2 pictures of the quilt and they look totally different from each other. One is outside in natural daylight and I'm sure the other is inside. There are some oranges and pinks in the quilt too so I will pull some more fabrics today. I will be using a different assortment than he did.
I'm hoping to be at the hospital this morning when the Dr. makes his rounds. I think I may find out which day Dad will be discharged. Today would have been my parents 73rd anniversary. Mother passed away 10 months ago.
I love the fabrics that you have chosen so far. Bright and summery. We sure could use a little of that. Glad to hear that Dad is doing well. Hoping for a discharge soon.

I can't believe she's been gone that long. How great though that your parents were able to spend 72 years of married life together. Wow.

Beautiful fabrics like those you've choses just make me smile. Isn't it wonderful to be able to "shop" right in your own home!
That is an extraordinarily long marriage your parents had. Quite an accomplishment in this day and age. Your father is blessed to have you for a daughter.
Wow, you really do have a lot of fabric! It looks like it will be a very sunny, happy quilt. Glad your Dad is better. 72 years married; that's unbelievable. We're having our 30th this May and that seems like a lot.
You do collect the most beautiful fabrics- I am sure you will create another beauty. My parents will be married 55 years this summer and my in laws would have been married 66 years in December. Not many manage to be married for 73 years like your parents. I loved Michele's poem - it says it so beautifully. Hope your father is able to come home and is feeling better soon.
