I hope it all goes well......

Today is the day the gas meter goes outside.  I don't like workmen in my house so I can't wait until this is over and I can set my design walls back in place and play.  Maybe tomorrow I will have some more interesting pictures to share.

I was sorting through things last night again.... my spare parts left from so many projects.  I have 37 double 4 patch blocks.  I have 11 light ones and 26 dark ones.  If I use them in a pieced back it won't matter that there isn't an even number of both.  I may want to use them as alternate blocks again like I did in my basket quilt.  Decisions, decisions!

I figured out how to make "left align" text work in the new post editor.  You have to just start typing and then click on the left align icon.  I was trying to make the cursor go to the left and it wouldn't do anything until there was a letter there first.

I have added 2 new pages (top of right side column) and added some more pictures on the crazy piecing page.

  2. I hope it goes well for you too! We have had comcast workers in our home twice and they are coming back today for a 3rd try. They can't seem to fix the problem. So I can feel your pain. I don't like them in my home either. I really like the new blog layout. Just great!

  3. Funny, I can't imagine a meter being in the house. How can they read it if no-one is home during their workday?

I know you will do something clever with those "leftover blocks"

  4. Wow that's a lot of leftover blocks! Your as bad as I am! I just get cutting and sewing - forget about figuring exactly how many blocks I need! Right now I am making several zig zag baby quilt and of course I have enough strips cut and blocks for at least two or three quilts out of each color. Oh well, I figure I will add them to my stash of baby quilts for emergencies or give away charity quilts.

  6. We had our meter moved outside a couple of years ago. It only took them a few minutes. It was worth it - not having to let anyone in to read the meter any more. I really like your new layout. It's so easy to read this way.

  7. I guess I'm surprised that they are doing it considering the COLD outside!

  8. Your blog looks great Wanda! Today the entire building's heat is off! It was a scheduled thing though but still..right in the middle of winter! the workmen aren't in my apartment and it's probably a good thing. The poor cat has been complaining all day about having no heat in the bathroom floor!

  9. Your pages are fabulous -- and your blog looks super! You're inspiring me to make some changes too -- but not till the Olympics are over!
Hope the meter relocation goes really quickly and you're able to put your design area back to normal fast!

  11. Thank you for stopping by my blog.

I read yours daily and find it so inspirational and educational. Actually, I have taken the time to go back through all of your archives and read all of your posts. I did one "month" each evening until I got through all of them.

Your use of color and simple shapes to produce such stunning quilts is always so intriguing! Thank you for being willing to share your expertise with all of us.
