Is there anything uglier than a garage sale.........
I took this picture after I had pulled my wheelbarrow back in and the vacuum cleaner is still sitting there. I'll be so happy when this sale is over. I'll tell my dad it is the LAST one. But I think I said that a couple years ago....
The lilies are working overtime. I need to get out there and pick off the dead blossoms.
It was another scorcher yesterday. My neighbors are on vacation so I paid my grandson to come and cut the grass in both yards.

  1. HURRAY!! I hope that the garage sale was successful as well. Your lillies are amazing. So many! And yellow! It stopped raining here yesterday afternoon and now, for one of the few times this month, it's a little over 70!! I'm happy!!

  2. Dang! I needed a bigger photo so I could snoop at your treasures! I do covet your old watering can! I have several that I just love. You know what they say..."one woman's junk is..."etc. etc. That truly works for me! And do I see fabric exhuberating in there? I'm still looking at the fun!!!We all love taking a look at other people's attics and garages. I think it's just wonderful you can even walk in yours. I haven't seen my floor or my feet trying to walk through my garage, in years ;)

  3. How in the world can you work like that in this weather??? I don't imagine your garage has a/c.

I can barely sit at the sewing machine for a couple hours and try not to move too much. My one bedroom window unit has not been put in yet, so it's really hard to sleep.

I thot I saw some fabric against the far wall there too.....*L*

  4. Your garage sale looks pretty organized! I need to do the same thing and am dreading it! I'm still at the stage of trying to wrestle with stuff to get it out of the house and into the garage! :)) Good luck!

  5. I had to laugh when I read the title of your post! (sorry, but I can just relate to your dilemma of being rid of the clutter, all too well)!

This looks like one (garage sale) that I'd stop my car to see, though! I hope you sell lots.

  6. I think garage sales are beautiful, as long as they are in somebody esle's garage. Lol. Good luck with yours.

  7. Good luck. Done 2 garage sales for parent's. Picking through 50+ years of marriage and deciding what to keep. Lots of memories and lots of junk too.

  11. Hi Wanda,
Hopefully your garage sale went great and there is very little to get rid of. Is this a 2-day deal or just one?
Garage sales are way more work than people give credit for.
Time to get into recovery mode!
